Revival means to bring back spiritual vigor. This means a certain vibrancy was or is lost. This is a term that the church should utter in tears because the initial spiritual vigor is lost.
Revival has three phases.
1. Reformation. This entails doctrinal alignment. God cannot move unless the patterns of authentic doctrines are restored.
2. Revival. Once Reformation takes place spiritual vigour is initiated. When that vigor comes three things are outomatically birthed.
a) Outreaches. This has everything to do with soul winning. An urgency of souls is initiated.
b) Outpouring. This is where we experience the move of the Holyghost and miracles are inevitable.
c) Discipleship. Miracles are good for conversion but teachings are better for conformity. The end goal is to produce Christ like believers.
After disciples are matured, they should be commissioned for greater works and they may end up in outreaches, Outpouring or discipling others.
The cycle should not be broken.
3. Revolutions. After the cycle of revival is sustained Revolutions are automatic. The concept of introducing the Kingdom is a concept of Revolutions. Overthrowing ancient civilizations and introducing spiritual civilizations.
Revival is not an event but an activation that happens when some matters are triggered. The following are some catalysts of revival.
1. Consecration. To be concentrated is to be set apart by God for God. Its not easy to be separated for God. It means your will is fully surrendered to Yahweh.
2. Surrender. A life of surrender is what births faith and a total dependency on God and God alone. Man effort is eliminated.
3. Prayer. Prayer is a divine invitation of God over the affairs of men. Prayer is the greatest catalyst of revival.
4. Love for the word. The word will expose divine patterns for divine power to flow.
5. Unity of the body. When denomination garments are taken off and the church unites as one body, revival will come. The oil moves in a United body.
6. Jesus taking the center stage. When Jesus is lifted He will draw men to Himself. Our teaching should be Christo-centric.
7. Capacity to bear divine burden. The things of God are not done from a place of comfort but a place of burden.
