The supernatural move of God is a profound and transformative reality that we need to live in as believers. It is the manifestation of God’s power, to change circumstances, heal the wounded, and bring divine intervention in every aspect of our lives and of our world. For the past month, we have been dealing with some of the keys to unlocking the supernatural move of God. So far, we have talked about “Faith it till you make it” and having “a superior mindset.” and today, we delve into two more keys:

Keys to Unlocking the Supernatural Move of God

The Power of God at work in us

The supernatural move of God is God’s ability to intervene in human affairs. It is His ability to turn impossible situations around.

Psalm 66: 3

Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of your power, Your enemies shall submit themselves to you.”

God’s power at work in us is unmatched. It is through this power that every ungodly force is subdued in our lives and world.

Lemme remind you of a lil physics 😊

A life will remain in its original state unless acted upon by an outside force. Jesus would have remained in the grave were it not for this power. The Red Sea would have remained unsplit, lions’ mouths would have remained wide open, waiting to devour Daniel. These are just some of the situations that were turned around by this power of God. You need the power of God working in your life to turn things around.

Ephesians 1:19-20 TPT

I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!

The power of God is not just for those extraordinary events that require miracles. It is also meant to work through us daily. I love this version because it calls us, advertisements of God’s power. This means that we are called to showcase His greatness through the ordinary and extraordinary moments of our lives. It is this power that gives us endless energy, and boundless strength (message version) even in the face of adversity.

The Authority of Christ and His Church

Overcoming the grave, Jesus was given all the authority in heaven and on the earth. And guess what He chose to do with that authority? He delegated it to us! Jesus calls us to walk in this great power of God, exercising the authority given to us and bringing about God’s kingdom on earth. Ephesians 1:22-23

God has put everything under the authority of Christ and has made Him the head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is His body; it is filled by Christ, who fills everything everywhere with His presence.

Do you know what this means regarding our position in the world as the body of Christ? It means that the church is not peripheral to the world. Rather, the world is peripheral to the church. This means that as a believer, you are central to God’s plan. It means that with His power working through you, you can influence and transform the world around you!

The Manifestation of God’s Power in Our Lives

When you attend a Christian meeting and you see people getting miraculously healed or falling under God’s power, it becomes easier for you to say, “The power of God moved in that meeting.” However, manifestation of God’s power doesn’t, and shouldn’t just happen in the body. This power is manifested in:

  • Body: This is the most common manifestation. The power of God brings physical healing and strength.
  • Soul: His power impacts our will, thoughts, and emotions. This brings joy, renews how we think, and even aligns our will with God’s perfect will.
  • Spirit: This is the superior dimension of experiencing God’s power. This power brings regeneration and salvation, making us new creations in Christ Jesus.

Manifesting the Power of God in Our Lives

God calls us to live in this power; to demonstrate it in our lives. However, it is difficult to walk in something you are not conscious of. Child of God, it is time to move from tolerating life’s challenges to subduing them through the power of God at work in you. Let this be your declaration:

“The power of God is at work in me

I am an advertisement of His great power

Through His power, I am influencing and transforming my world!”

Observing the Early Church Way of Life

The fourth key to unlocking the supernatural move of God is by observing the way of the early church. The early church is our blueprint of what the Church should be like. This way of life is characterized by:The Early Church fellowshipping together

  • Prayer
  • Fellowship
  • Worship
  • Word of God

Acts 2:42 NIV

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

The Power of Prayer

The books of Luke and Acts were written for someone called Theophilus. This was a testimony of what Jesus began and continued to do and teach. One thing that was a foundation of the life of Jesus, and embraced by the early church is prayer. Jesus would wake up way before dawn to spend time in prayer. This helped Him prepare for whatever the day would bring His way. The early church embraced this, which is why they gathered daily and prayed together.

It is the power of prayer that allowed Peter and John to declare to a man who had been a cripple since birth, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk” (Acts 3:6). Prayer allowed the early church to connect to the supernatural move of God and perform miracles and advance the kingdom of God. Prayer is still powerful today and its power is still available for you. It is the prayer that helps sin to lose its hold on us.

Fellowship and Worship

You cannot love praying and hate worshipping. You cannot choose one over the other. The early church understood this only too well, which is why they met daily to encourage each other and worship. This created an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit could move in such a mighty way. It was when Paul and Silas were worshipping and praying in jail that a miracle occurred.

Paul and Silas Worshipping

Acts 16:25-26 NKJV

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed

The Word of God

The word of God provided the early church with much-needed nourishment and direction. The word was not just read in their regular gatherings, but they lived it out. It is the word of God that gave them the strength to stand firm in the face of persecution. It is the empowerment they received that allowed Peter and John to say after being arrested, “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heardActs 4:20. It is this empowerment that allowed them to rejoice when flogged because they got to partake in the suffering of the Lord Jesus. Imagine being persecuted and encountering great tribulation and instead of complaining and deciding you will never again serve this God, you choose to “Count it all joy!” That is the mark of someone who has unlocked the supernatural move of God.

The early church’s way of life is a powerful reminder that the supernatural move of God is not for the chosen few. This move can be experienced by anyone who is willing to devote themselves to prayer, fellowship, worship, and the word of God. So, child of God, embrace this early church way of life and see your life and your world transformed by this great power of God.

“Thank you, Lord Jesus

Thank you for the power of God at work in my life

Thank you for the grace to pray and read your word

As I commit myself to prayer, fellowship, word, and worship,

I declare that the realities of the early church are becoming the realities of my world

Thank you for I am moving in the power of God

I am experiencing boundless strength, endless energy

In the mighty name of Jesus!”

Amen!
